Two days connecting quantum-sensing research, engineering, enabling technologies and real applications
Based on feedback from participants in previous editions of the QSL conference, we have broadened the scope of QSL27 and extended the conference to a two-day format. QSL27 provides a platform for dialogue and collaboration between academia and industry, bringing together researchers, technology providers, system developers, industrial adopters, and end users in an open, focused conference environment.
QSL27 is a non-profit conference committed to open-science principles and the accessible exchange of knowledge. Industrial exhibitors and sponsors support the Best Poster Award, networking activities, and selected conference costs. The 2027 edition will feature dedicated industry sessions with talks, demonstrations, an exhibition, and a social evening event to encourage exchange across research and industry.

Quantum sensing exploits quantum states and phenomena such as coherence, superposition, entanglement, and quantum correlations to enable measurements beyond conventional technological limits or to access spectral, spatial, or physical quantities that are difficult to probe with classical approaches.
Quantum sensing has gained significant momentum over the past decade, establishing itself as a promising alternative to classical instrumentation in terms of sensitivity, cost, and application-specific performance. QSL27 – Quantum Sensing in Industry and Research Conference Linz 2027 aims to bridge the gap between fundamental quantum physics and applied industrial research, with a particular focus on translating quantum-enabled measurement techniques from laboratory demonstrations into robust systems for scientific and industrial applications.
The conference covers a broad range of topics, spanning next-generation quantum photonics for applied metrology, nonlinear interferometry and sensing with undetected photons, quantum magnetometry using NV-diamond sensors and optically pumped magnetometers, Rydberg-atom and cold-atom sensing, and advances in atomic, optical and nuclear clocks.
The event aims to support the development of competitive and robust quantum sensors capable of overcoming limitations of classical metrology. QSL27 promotes exchange between research and industry, bringing together the international research community and industrial partners to foster collaboration and accelerate progress at the interface between fundamental science and practical application.

QSL27 welcomes both industry representatives and scientific contributors.
Companies are invited to present technologies, discuss application requirements and engage directly with the quantum-sensing research community.
Scientists, researchers and engineers are invited to contribute to QSL27. Poster contributions are particularly encouraged. Accepted contributors will be invited to submit a two-page extended contribution for publication in the QSL27 proceedings.
